I. How do I get e-mail service?

Most faculty members, staff, and students at the University of Florida have a computer account or service that provides electronic mail (e-mail) services. If you do not have e-mail service, we encourage you to obtain a GatorLink account. This account offers e-mail services and provides access to other university services.

If you do not have a GatorLink account, get on-line and go to the Web site http://my.ufl.edu
Click on Gatorlink Account Creation to obtain one. If you do not have access to the Internet, come to the UF Computing Help Desk located in the HUB Room 132.

III. Which e-mail program do you recommend?

Most people will use the same software at home that they use at work. This saves time because you do not have to learn how to use a new program. Sometimes this is not possible or is not a good idea. We ask you to consider the following recommendations when choosing an e-mail program.
