- You will also need a means of connecting to the Internet using a modem dial-up service (such as Gatorlink's dial-up service) or an ethernet cable service (such as DHNET's ethernet service).

We would like to make you aware of these recommendations prior to installing Netscape:
There are several settings in Netscape Navigator Gold 3.04 that can be personalized to your liking. We give these suggestions:How to Conserve RAM & Hard Drive Space
Most people choose Navigator Gold because they are limited by the amount of RAM and hard drive space on their computer. If RAM and hard drive usage is a concern, we recommend lowering the amount of RAM and hard drive space Navigator Gold uses to store previously viewed web pages. This setting can be changed by following these steps:
- Select the Options menu and Network Preferences.
- Select the Cache tab (if not already selected).
- Under Memory Cache: choose the amount of RAM you want Netscape to use when it is running (or leave the default amount). Remember that 1000 Kilobytes is one Megabyte.
- Under the Disk Cache: choose how much hard drive space on your computer you want allocated to temporary storage for the pages that Netscape views.
