I. What is Internet Explorer?
Internet Explorer is web browser capable of downloading and presenting
different types of documents and graphics found on the Internet. It
also manages E-mail and News-group messages and creates publishes
web pages using companion software.
System Requirements
- A Macintosh with a PowerPC processor
- MacOS version 8.1 thru 9.x
- 16 MB of free RAM with Virtual Memory on (12MB recommended)
- 12 MB of hard disk space for Internet Explorer
For Mac OSX
- A Macintosh with a PowerPC processor
- MacOS version 10.1.5 or above
- 128 MB of RAM
- 19.9 MB of hard disk space for Internet Explorer

II. How do I install Internet Explorer?
For Mac OS v 8.1 or earlier:
- Open the Internet Explorer folder.
- Open the Microsoft Internet 5.1.7 folder.
- Follow directions.
For Mac OS X:
- Select the UF Software CD, Internet Explorer
folder, Internet Explorer 523.dmg file. This will
open a window containing the Internet Explorer Installation
package. Select the package to start the installation.
- You will be asked to provide the Administrator password during
the installation. If you do not have administrative rights you will
have to abort the installation.
- Afterwards, the installation is complete,close the installer and
the installation package window.

III. How Do I Use Internet Explorer?
The first time you use Outlook Express, highlight your GatorLink
E-mail service, select the File menu, the Folder option, and the Refresh
Folder list option. This will retrieve an accurate listing of your
E-mail boxes.
Almost all information can be found in the Help Menu regarding how
to use Internet Explorer and its companion programs. Each program
is relatively easy to use. A web tutorial is available in the
Help menu of Internet Explorer.
