Both Netscape and Microsoft provide exceptional web browsing programs.
These web browsers also come with other components like email clients,
newsreaders, and multimedia viewers. Both developers also provide
add-on programs when you visit their web site. We have placed
several versions of the Netscape and Microsoft web browser on this
CD to provide you with a broad selection. A brief description
of each version follows:
Internet Explorer 5.0 provides Internet Explorer (a web browser),
OutLook Express (an IMAP & POP3 Email & Newsgroup management
program), Java and Web fonts, a personal web server and Netshow.
Netscape 7.x provides Navigator (web browser), an (IMAP & POP3)
email & newsgroup management program, a HTML editor, an information
subscription tool, a conferencing program, AOL Instant Messenger service,
plug-in and JAVA support. Stuffit Expander is also included.
System Requirements:
- All programs require the Mac Operating System 8.1 (or higher).
- If you are limited by the space on your hard drive, you
should take into consideration the installation size of the
programs.
- Netscape Communicator 4.7 requires approximately 18MB
of space after installation. During installation approximately:
28MB.
- Internet Explorer 5.0 requires up to approximately 26MB depending
on installation choices.
